Okay... it's more than 30
During the month of April 2020, amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when we were unable to entertain guests at Blue Harbor House Inn, we spent every day featuring (at least) one of our favorite places to visit in Midcoast Maine on our Facebook & Instagram pages. We called the series #aprilshowers because it was our way to "shower" love on the businesses we adore and want to still be around to enjoy after this pandemic.
The coast of Maine has SO MANY attractions, it was hard to narrow it down to a Top 10 or Top 20 list. We even had trouble keeping it to one per day, as you will see from our list.
About half of the visitors to Camden don't realize how much there is to do on the Midcoast, and therefore only plan to stay for one night on their way to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, or on their way back. And almost every single one tells us, "We should have stayed at least 2-3 nights!" The rest of the visitors KNOW why they need to stay up to a week here.
We had so much fun coming up with this list of our favorite places around Camden, Maine. When it is safe for people to travel again, we look forward to welcoming our guests, helping them choose amazing activities to do each day, and visiting with them over breakfast to learn which were their favorites.
Until then... check out our compiled list... sorted into three categories – Drinks & Eats, Outdoor Fun, and Everything Else –to make it easy to find what interests you! Click the links to visit their websites. And let us know which ones are your favorites!
