A new Maine State Parks passport program has been launched in recognition of the 75th anniversary of State Parks in Maine. An informative passport book has been created and color coded by the eight regons in Maine, with descriptive information on each park. In the Midcoast region alone there are 16 State Parks. Get your passport from any Maine State park.

The first ever monthly Moonrise on the Bay event is scheduled for tonight (May 28th) at Lincolnville Beach, a 10 min drive from our Inn. The shops and restaurants will be open late, there will be a bonfire, art show, live music, and of course a spectacular moonrise! The event starts at 6:30 PM.

Marshall Point Lighthouse museum opens Saturday May 29th, for the 2010 season. Marshall Point Lighthouse is located at the end of the St. George peninsula in Port Clyde. The Lighthouse grounds are always open to the public from sunup to dusk every day throughout the year. The museum contains displays, tools and artifacts depicting past and present fishing methods and local stone quarrying history as well as historical data regarding the lighthouse itself.
