Golden Nugget Sugar Shack, Appleton. All offering free tastings/ demonstrations of how syrup is produced from tap to table. Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery, Union will offer tastings of it’s Maple Smash liqueur and distilling demonstration. Yum!

A taste of Scotland in Maine
We have a couple of new additions to our beer selection. Couldn’t believe it when our State of Maine beer supplier told us they had Scottish beer in stock! So we now have two wonderful new beers for you to try. We have Belhaven Pale Ale and Belhaven Scottish stout.
Camden Farmer’s Market each Saturday
Camden’s Farmers Market every Sat morning is the place to be! Today I was there getting, among other things some Hahn’s End cheese for our cheeseboards. A local Maine artisan cheese maker, his Blue Velvet cheese is just the best! Come and try a sample.
Afternoon Tea
Beautiful day in Camden, Maine today. I made some special lavender and rose glazed shortbread this morning. All those booked in for the Holiday weekend will be able to sample some for afternoon tea today! The culinary lavender comes from the fabulous Glendarragh lavender farm, in Appleton, Maine. Fancy a cuppa?

Just opened at 12 Bayview street, Camden, ‘Chocolatier Blue’ uses only fresh ingredients, organic ingredients whenever possible and the finest Italian chocolate. At the Chocolatier Blue Flagship store in Berkeley, Calif., the top sellers are passion fruit caramel, hazelnut and espresso. Sounds divine -can’t wait to try some!

Beech Hill Preserve is managed for the purpose of maintaining the property’s scenic beauty, historic value, grassland bird habitat, and organic blueberry production. Summer Solstice evening, Rockland, Maine June 19, 2010
A celebration of the Summer Solstice takes place June 19th, in Rockland, just a few miles from Camden. Time - from 5-9 pm on Main Street. This annual event offers something for the whole family. Main Street will be closed to traffic for the evening and there will be live music, entertainment, street dancing, food and special events. A fun evening!
