For those that are interested in learning about Aldermere Farm and the Belted Galloways that came all the way from Scotland in  1950,  here is your opportunity!   The visitors center is open Monday and Tuesday  2.00-4.00pm, starting July 12th. Wed 10.00- 4.00, Thurs 10.00-5.00 and Fri  and Sat 10.00-2.00pm.  There are also  various ‘Beltie’ retail items for sale.

Take a relaxing and scenic  evening sail  on the Schooner ‘Olad’, out of Camden Harbor,  7.15pm-9.15 pm.  Watch the sun go down behind the mountains of Camden Hills State Park; then turn seaward and watch the moonrise over the islands of Penobscot Bay! Here is a fun and informative way to spend a couple of hours on  the Midcoast of Maine.   Avena Botanicals’ Apothecary and Herb Garden offers free garden herb walks led by owner, gardener, educator and herbalist, Deb Soule.  June 16th and June 30th. Time 3.30-4.30. It is free, and only a few minutes drive from the Inn.  The apothecary store will be open till 5.00pm.  Try some of their Fairy Flower  moisturising creme, lavender, or unscented.   Natural and  organic – it is lovely!

Take a trip on the ‘All Aboard Trolley’ for a fabulous tour of our three area wineries – Sweetgrass  Farm winery and Distillery,  Savageoaks Winery,  and Cellardoor Vineyard.  Learn about the artistry of making wine, and sample wines along the way!  Tickets $25.00 per person.  Lunch available for purchase at the spectacularly  beautiful Cellardoor Winery.  Tour available Monday and Tuesday May-Oct.

Thanks to the mild winter and sunny weekend forecast, Camden Hills State Parks opened Easter weekend. Here is a  photo  from our hike over the weekend.  Incredible views!    You can now enjoy the auto routo to mount battie,  hiking along the extensive trail network, picnics and walks along Penobscot Bay, great birdwatching, and much much  more!
